Doubts Surround De Ligt's Participation with Manchester United Against Bilbao
Wednesday 07-05-2025
It seems that Manchester United will miss the services of their Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt in the match against Athletic Bilbao, scheduled for Thursday evening, in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals, after he missed the team's training today, Wednesday.

De Ligt had come on as a substitute in the first leg, which ended with United winning 3-0 in Spain, before starting as a starter in the recent match against Brentford in the league, but he had to leave due to injury after just 35 minutes.

Coach Ruben Amorim is expected to clarify De Ligt's condition during his press conference today, Wednesday, at a time when Christian Eriksen also missed training, although there are expectations for his presence in tomorrow's match.

The training saw the return of Noussair Mazraoui, while Aiden Heven trained individually, and the absences of Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Joshua Zirkzee, and Toby Collier continued, in addition to Jonny Evans.
