Roma Excludes Pioli from the List of Coaches Considered to Succeed Ranieri
Monday 05-05-2025
Reports indicate that former AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, is not among the list of coaches that Roma's management is considering to take over the coaching position after the end of the season.

The reports also clarified that Roma will not turn to Pioli to succeed the current coach, Claudio Ranieri, who returned to take charge of the team in November 2024. Pioli, who is currently coaching Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, had previously been linked to the coaching position at the Olimpico.

Instead of Pioli, Roma's management is monitoring both Cesc Fabregas, coach of Como, and Francesco Farioli, coach of Ajax, in addition to other coaches, and the club is expected to make an announcement soon regarding Ranieri's successor.

On another note, Ranieri confirmed after Roma's 1-0 victory over Fiorentina that the team performed wonderfully despite the difficulty of the match, saying: "It was a match full of suffering, and that makes me proud, we always give our best."

Ranieri, who returned to coach Roma for the third time, had previously confirmed that he would not continue with the team after the end of the season, indicating that Roma would be the last stop in his coaching career.
