Leipzig Considers Signing Matthias Jaissle
The renowned journalist Rudi Galetti confirmed that the management of Leipzig is considering signing Matthias Jaissle, the coach of Saudi Al Ahli, to lead the team.
Jaissle successfully guided Al Ahli to win the AFC Champions League title after defeating Kawasaki Frontale from Japan with a score of 2-0 in the final match.
Jaissle took over as the head coach of Al Ahli in July 2023, and his contract with the club extends until June 2026.
Rudi Galetti stated on his official account on the 'X' platform that the management of the German club Leipzig is internally discussing the possibility of appointing Matthias Jaissle as the new coach of the German team.
He explained that the Al Ahli coach is attracting the interest of the German club officials for several reasons, most notably that he is considered a high-caliber coach and has a good understanding of the club, having previously worked at Leipzig.
Jaissle served as an assistant coach at Leipzig's academy from 2014 to 2017.
He also held the position of head coach for the Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg from 2021 to 2023, where he won two local league titles and one Austrian Cup title.
