The Iraqi Football Association has agreed with a new technical director to lead the Iraq national team following the dismissal of Spanish coach Jesus Casas.
According to Al-Rabiaa Iraqi channel, the new coach of the Lions of Mesopotamia will be Australian Graham Arnold, 61 years old.
It was noted that Arnold's contract will last until 2027, specifically until the AFC Asian Cup, but he will be dismissed from his position if he fails to lead Iraq to the World Cup.
Arnold had left his national team last year after leading the Kangaroos for several years and performing well.
