Al Ahly officials have expressed their desire to contract Omar Fayad, the defender from Turkish club Fenerbahçe, during the upcoming summer transfer window to strengthen the defense.

According to reports, the Egyptian defender Omar Fayad, who is currently on loan at a Belgian league club from Fenerbahçe, has entered Al Ahly's plans to bolster the defense, especially after his good performance with the Olympic team in the Paris Olympics.

The reports indicated that Al Ahly is considering contracting Fayad on loan with an option to buy, and they may contact Fenerbahçe's management in the coming period to negotiate the deal.

Sources also pointed out that Iyad Al-Asqalani, a defender from Russian club Rostov, is still among Al Ahly's interests, but there are reservations about signing him due to his recent return from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Additionally, sources clarified that Hadi Riyad, a defender from Petrojet, and Amr Al-Jazzar, a player from Ghazl El Mahalla, are also among the names presented to Al Ahly's planning committee to strengthen the backline in the new season.
