Media personality Ahmed Shoubeir revealed the latest developments regarding the new coach for Al Ahly.
Shoubeir said during his radio program: "I say this and warn everyone against believing any news that claims Al Ahly has finalized an agreement with the new coach. I assure you that the file of the head coach is being managed directly by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib himself."
He added: "This file is discussed in a very closed circle, and only a very limited number of officials within the club are involved in it. Even the football company of Al Ahly has no relation or role in contracting with the new coach."
Shoubeir clarified: "You will hear about many names being proposed, sometimes from Belgium, sometimes from Portugal, and sometimes from Germany, but the truth is that all of these are just speculations. The file is completely closed, and only a few people within Al Ahly know its details."
He concluded: "Even the closest associates of Captain Mahmoud El Khatib within the club do not know anything about this file, and the matter is entirely in the hands of the club president. The official announcement about the new head coach will be made at the appropriate time."
