Barcelona Begins Talks with Star Over New Contract
Barcelona has started discussions with its Brazilian star Rafinha regarding a new contract, as reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca" today, Saturday.
This comes after a significant development in the performance of the 28-year-old player this season under the management of Barca's German coach Hans Flick.
The Catalan club is concerned about Rafinha's future, especially with Saudi interest in the player, and therefore wants to secure him with a new contract.
Thus, it is expected that both parties will reach an agreement to extend their contract beyond the summer of 2027, which is the expiration date of the current contract, under new terms.
It is worth noting that Rafinha has managed to score 30 goals and provide 25 assists in 51 matches he has played with Barcelona across all competitions.
