Alonso Refuses to Comment on Coaching Real Madrid
Xabi Alonso, the coach of Bayer Leverkusen, refused to comment on reports linking him with a departure at the end of the season to take over as coach of Real Madrid.
The Spanish coach said at a press conference: "I have nothing new to say about my future, and the answer is the same: we have to wait."
He added: "Communication with the club is always good. There is clarity between me and the club's management."
Alonso is the top candidate to take over as coach of Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti leaves the royal club this summer.
