Ahmed Hassan stated via Facebook: "A source at Al Ahly: Mohamed Shawky will take over as the Director of Football in the new coaching staff and may have technical responsibilities in coordination with the foreign coach."
Al Ahly is preparing to face their counterpart Haras El Hodood next Sunday in the fourth round of the decisive stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match between Al Ahly and Haras El Hodood will kick off at 8 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
