Iraq's Negotiations with Amouta Stumble and Alternative Option Revealed
The Iraqi channel Al-Rabia reported that negotiations between the Iraqi Football Association and Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta for coaching the national team have stumbled.
Consequently, the Iraqi Federation will try to negotiate with another coach to lead the Lions of Mesopotamia in the upcoming phase after failing to reach an agreement with Amouta, the head coach of Al-Jazeera FC in the UAE.
It pointed out that the current direction is towards the alternative option, which is the Argentine Hector Cuper, who knows the region well after having coached the Syrian national team.
Cuper has an impressive resume after having managed a number of clubs and national teams, especially Inter Milan, Valencia, and the Egyptian national team.
