Alonso Sets New Signings for Real Madrid
Spanish coach Xabi Alonso is nearing the position of head coach for Real Madrid next season, replacing Carlo Ancelotti, who is on the verge of leaving.
The Spanish newspaper 'AS' reported that Alonso wants to bring Bayer Leverkusen duo Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah with him to Real Madrid this summer.
Tah is set to leave Leverkusen for free this summer, while several clubs are interested in acquiring Wirtz, who could cost 100 million euros.
The source added that Alonso also wishes to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who has a release clause in his contract of approximately 60 million euros.
