Maysan Oil Club continued its strong performances against the big teams, after successfully securing a valuable draw from its host, Al-Student, with a score of one goal each, in the match held at the International City Stadium in Baghdad, as part of the thirtieth round of the Iraqi Stars League.

Despite Al-Student's relative superiority during the first half, Maysan Oil proved its strong character and managed to come back in the score at the beginning of the second half.

Al-Student entered the match strongly and succeeded in taking the lead early through striker Simon Musuva, who opened the scoring in the 11th minute after an organized attack that resulted in a goal, giving the elegant team an advantage in the score.

Al-Student tried to enhance its lead, but it faced the solidity of Maysan Oil's defense, which handled the attacking pressure well, while relying on quick counterattacks that posed some danger to Al-Student's goal.

With the start of the second half, Maysan Oil surprised the hosts with an equalizing goal, scored by player Othman Saniyeh in the 46th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error to score early and bring the match back to square one.

Both teams tried to score the winning goal in the remaining minutes, but haste and lack of focus in front of the goal prevented any change in the score, ending the match in a positive draw of one goal for each side.

With this result, Al-Student wasted two precious points in its race towards the advanced positions, while Maysan Oil continued to reap positive results that strengthen its position in the league standings.
