Al-Shorta Club continues to pressure the top of the Iraqi Premier League after achieving a valuable victory over their host Erbil with two goals to none, in the match that brought the two teams together at the Franswa Hariri Stadium for the thirtieth round of the championship.

The victory came thanks to the brilliance of striker Mohannad Ali "Mimi", who scored both goals of the match, confirming his significant presence in important moments.

Al-Shorta started the match strongly and succeeded in opening the scoring early through Mimi, who found the net for Erbil in the fourth minute, giving his team a significant morale boost from the start of the encounter.

Al-Shorta continued to dominate the game during the first half, benefiting from Erbil's retreat and trying to enhance their lead, but luck and the opponent's defense prevented them from increasing the tally during those minutes.

In the second half, Al-Shorta continued to press in search of a reassuring goal until the team was awarded a penalty in the 67th minute, which Mimi successfully converted, adding the second goal for his team and securing the precious three points.

Despite Erbil's attempts to reduce the deficit, Al-Shorta's defense dealt firmly with the few attacks, allowing the team to emerge with an important victory that strongly returns them to the title race.
