Unbelievable Departure of Koller from Al Ahly
Egyptian media personality Ahmed Shobair revealed the latest developments regarding the issue of dues for Swiss coach Marcel Koller after his contract with Al Ahly was terminated, following their exit from the African Champions League at the hands of Sundowns.
Shobair stated on his program that Koller still cannot comprehend his departure from Al Ahly, and when he visited the club yesterday, he received a warm welcome from the staff and players.
He continued: "Koller gathered his belongings and bid farewell to the club staff, then headed to his residence, where several players came to see him off, which made him very happy."
He added: "Some of what is being circulated about the penalty clause and Koller’s contract is incorrect, and matters are negotiable between the club and the coach's agent, who will arrive in Cairo within hours."
He went on: "There may be some shocking surprises regarding Koller’s dues, but there are attempts to resolve the matter amicably between both parties."
He concluded: "I previously mentioned that there would be a problem regarding the penalty clause for Marcel Koller because he will receive a full year's salary in case of his departure."
