Rene Weiler Ready to Coach Al Ahly
Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed that Rene Weiler is ready to take on the position of head coach of Al Ahly, succeeding Marcel Koller.
Ahmed Hassan stated on Facebook: "Exclusive.. One of the agents contacted Al Ahly officials and confirmed that Weiler is ready to return to coach the team in place of Koller."
Koller is facing severe criticism after Al Ahly failed to qualify for the final of the African Champions League.
Al Ahly drew 1-1 yesterday, Friday, against Sundowns in the second leg of the semi-final, while the first leg ended in a goalless draw 0-0, allowing Sundowns to qualify on the away goals rule.
