Ahmed Hassan Attacks Al-Ahly Fans
Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, criticized Al-Ahly fans after water bottles were thrown at Marcel Koller following the end of the Sundowns match yesterday, Friday.
Al-Ahly bid farewell to the African Champions League after a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the semi-finals, with the first leg ending in a goalless draw (0-0), allowing Sundowns to advance at the expense of Al-Ahly, benefiting from the away goals rule.
Ahmed Hassan said on "DMC" channel: "This scene is unacceptable to see, especially from the fans of Al-Ahly club; it is not befitting."
He added: "The scene of throwing bottles at Koller is not appropriate, no matter what, this man has achieved successes with Al-Ahly club; he should enter respectfully and leave with utmost politeness and respect."
He concluded: "The act of attacking Koller with bottles is unacceptable, and this is not the way of Al-Ahly fans."
