Real Madrid Cancels All Events for the Copa del Rey Final
Real Madrid has made new and important decisions ahead of the Copa del Rey final tomorrow, Saturday, against Barcelona, at the Estadio de La Cartuja.
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that Real Madrid has decided to cancel all institutional events related to the Copa del Rey final.
The newspaper added that there will be no press conferences for coach Carlo Ancelotti and one of the players, and the club will not attend the dinner banquet for the final.
The newspaper indicated that the royal club also canceled the open training session that was scheduled to take place on the final's pitch.
These decisions come after the controversy that arose following the press conference held by the refereeing crew of the Clasico, as the royal club wants to change the officiating crew because it believes they are not ready to manage the match.
Referee De Burgos broke down in tears during the press conference due to the criticism directed at referees, in addition to the reports published by Real Madrid's channel against referees and officiating, while video assistant referee Gonzales Fuertes confirmed that they will take legal action against Real Madrid.
