English Competition for Brighton's Goalkeeper
Friday 25-04-2025
Reports indicate that Manchester United and West Ham United are closely monitoring Brighton's young goalkeeper Karl Rushworth in preparation for his signing during the summer transfer window.

Although the 23-year-old Rushworth has not participated in any official matches with Brighton's first team, he has proven his worth during his loan spells, shining with Hull City in the Championship, as well as having successful stints with Swansea City and Lincoln City in previous seasons.

Reports have revealed Manchester United's interest in signing the young goalkeeper, as the club aims to provide competition for their keeper Andre Onana, who is facing challenges in his position. Additionally, West Ham United considers Rushworth among their options to strengthen the goalkeeper position with young talents.

While Rushworth may not be ready to become the first-choice goalkeeper for either club, his presence would enhance their options in this position, highlighting both teams' needs to meet the requirements for homegrown players in the Premier League.
