Thursday 24-04-2025
Mahmoud Fouad, the sports critic, spoke about the crisis of Zamalek's registration suspension, stating that the club needs about 350 million Egyptian pounds to settle all its debts with former players and the fine imposed on Portuguese coach Jaime Pacheco, the former team coach.

Mahmoud Fouad said during the "Al-Match" program on Sada El-Balad channel: "What happened with FIFA's decision to suspend Zamalek's registration increases the pain and suffering of Zamalek Club... The story of Khaled Bouetib is a new nightmare facing the club."

He added: "Khaled Bouetib had dues with Zamalek amounting to a fine of 2.4 million euros... Zamalek paid 1 million and 417 thousand euros, and 987 thousand euros remain."

He continued: "Jaime Pacheco is owed 880 thousand euros by Zamalek, and the bigger disaster will be for Senegalese Ibrahima Ndaye, who is owed 1.8 million euros by Zamalek."

Fouad confirmed that Zamalek is at risk of not obtaining the license to participate in African competitions if the crisis is not resolved.
