Reports have revealed that Chelsea is conducting internal discussions to explore the possibility of signing Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne, a Manchester City player, during the upcoming summer transfer window as a free agent.

According to 'CaughtOffside', the 33-year-old De Bruyne is nearing the end of his contract with City, and Chelsea is considering the idea of bringing him back, after having let him go earlier in his career without giving him enough opportunity.

Although some sources suggest a move for De Bruyne to the American league, the player remains open to staying in the Premier League.

De Bruyne had left Chelsea in his early days, exploding onto the scene in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, before moving to Manchester City and becoming one of the best midfielders in Premier League history.

However, many currently believe that signing him may not align with Chelsea's policy focused on building a young, long-term team, especially with De Bruyne's declining performance due to age and injuries.
