Following his team's loss to Al-Zawraa by a goal to nil in the 29th round of the Iraqi Premier League, Moamen Suleiman, coach of Al-Shorta, expressed his regret over the lost points and the loss of the top position, confirming that his team performed strongly in most periods of the match but failed to capitalize on opportunities.

In his statements after the match, Moamen Suleiman said:

He stated: "We feel a great disappointment after this loss; we were the better team in the first half and created dangerous chances, but we failed to score, and Al-Zawraa exploited one moment and scored from it."

He added: "The match was strong and balanced from both sides, and the result does not reflect the reality of the performance, but football only recognizes those who score."

He continued: "We missed the opportunity to enhance our lead, which is unfortunate, but the championship is still long, and we will fight until the end."

He went on: "I thank the players for their efforts, and I take full responsibility as a coach; we now need to quickly rise and regain focus for the remainder of the league season."

He concluded: "Al-Zawraa is a great team with outstanding players, but Al-Shorta also has all the components to make a strong comeback, and we will work on correcting mistakes as soon as possible."
