Al-Zawraa Triumphs at the Summit.. Haidar Obaid Praises the Substitutes and Readiness

Haidar Obaid, coach of Al-Zawraa Club, expressed his great happiness with the victory achieved by his team over Al-Shorta with a clean goal, in the summit of the twenty-ninth round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that the players showed a fighting spirit that reflects the character of Al-Zawraa, and they deserved the top spot.

In extensive media statements following the end of the match, Haidar Obaid said:

He stated: "Thank God for this important victory. The match was not easy, and we faced a strong opponent, but we were on time and achieved what was required from this summit."

He added: "We knew the importance of the match and what the three points mean at this time, so we prepared the players psychologically and physically at the highest level, and thank God they translated the work and effort into a victory."

He continued: "Al-Shorta pressured us at certain periods, especially in the first half, but we knew how to absorb the momentum and return to the match, and we controlled the rhythm during the second half."

He went on: "I thank every player in the team, especially the substitutes who made a difference, and Murad Mohammed is a great example of a player who is always ready, and he deserved the goal and praise."

He concluded: "The absences did not affect us; rather, they gave us additional motivation. The absence of Qoqia was painful for us technically and morally, but we played for him, and the players fulfilled their promise."

He added: "This top spot does not mean that the league is over; rather, the hardest stage now begins. We must continue with the same determination and focus, because the road is still long."
