Al-Ahly's President Reaches Agreement with Quartet on Contract Extensions
Egyptian press sources confirmed that Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly Club, succeeded in convincing the quartet Mohamed El-Shenawy, Rami Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, and Hamza Alaa, players of the team, to extend their contracts that are set to expire at the end of the current season.
According to the sources, Mahmoud Al-Khatib held meetings with the mentioned quartet in South Africa before the match against Sundowns on Saturday, as part of the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals, to persuade them to extend their contracts in the upcoming period.
Reports indicated that Mohamed Ramadan, the sporting director of Al-Ahly, will hold meetings with the quartet after the match against Sundowns scheduled for next Friday, in the return leg of the African Champions League semi-finals, to finalize the extension of their contracts.
The sources emphasized that the Al-Ahly management aims to extend Rabia and Yasser's contracts for two seasons, Mohamed El-Shenawy's for three seasons, and Hamza Alaa's for five seasons in the upcoming period.
