Al-Anqari: Pioli is Not the Sole Reason for Al-Nassr's Decline
Ibrahim Al-Anqari, the former Al-Hilal administrator, confirmed that the recent decline in Al-Nassr's results is not solely due to the team's coach, Pioli.
Al-Nassr lost to Al-Qadisiyah with a score of 2-1 in a match as part of the 28th round of the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Anqari stated in television remarks: "The problem with Al-Nassr is not the coach; everyone wants Pioli to play with wingers to attack the team, while he relies on Cristiano Ronaldo as a central striker. Where does John Duran play?".
He explained: "In this case, Pioli will be forced to play with four forwards, which comes at the expense of the midfield and defense. The problem is not that Pioli cannot lead Al-Nassr, but he has a stone that cannot be moved, which is Cristiano Ronaldo."
He added: "Any coach will find it difficult to manage with Cristiano Ronaldo present, especially since he had no role in the match. If you do not create an easy chance for him, he will not be present in the game."
