Alonso Comments on His Future Amid Real Madrid Interest

Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, has stirred further controversy regarding his future after refusing to comment decisively on the news linking him to the managerial position at Real Madrid next season.

In his statements, Alonso said: "Now is not the right time to talk about the future; there is nothing that requires a decision at the end of the season."

The Leverkusen coach declined to make any commitment to stay with the team after the current season, which has increased speculation about the possibility of him moving to coach Real Madrid, especially with Italian Carlo Ancelotti reportedly nearing departure, according to media reports.

Some reports have indicated that Ancelotti may leave the royal club after the Copa del Rey final on April 26, opening the door for a potential return for Alonso to Santiago Bernabéu, but this time as a coach.
