Atif: Al-Ittihad is the Closest to Winning the League Title
Wednesday 16-04-2025
Abd Atif, a former player of the Saudi national team, believes that Al-Ittihad is the closest team to winning the Roshan League title.

Al-Ittihad currently tops the Roshan Saudi League standings with 65 points, with Al-Hilal in second place with 58 points, and Al-Nasr in third place with 57 points.

Atif stated in television remarks: "Although Al-Ittihad has stumbled in many easy matches, it has a greater chance of winning the title, due to the points difference."

He added: "Al-Ittihad has only one match left in the King's Cup, so its full focus is on the league, unlike Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr, who have upcoming matches in the Asian Elite League."

He continued: "Al-Hilal is going through a difficult period of instability at the administrative level and the relationship between the coach and the fans, unlike its stability last season, but the primary goal for the club is to win the Asian title."

He added: "The management and the coach have no problem if they lose the league, but compensation comes through the Asian championship, which is a tough challenge in the upcoming period."

He concluded: "Al-Nasr, after being far from the competition, has seen fans demanding the league title, as the gap with Al-Ittihad has reached 8 points, in addition to its struggle in the Asian championship."
