Khatib Accompanies Al-Ahly Delegation to South Africa
Mamdouh Khatib, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club, accompanied the first football team delegation traveling to South Africa on Tuesday evening.
The Al-Ahly delegation, led by Mohamed El-Damati, a board member, arrived at Cairo International Airport last night in preparation for their journey to South Africa to compete against Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.
Al-Ahly held their training session on Tuesday afternoon at Mokhtar El-Tetch Stadium in Zamalek, where Swiss coach Marcel Kohler delivered a lecture to the players, emphasizing various technical and tactical aspects related to their preparation for the match.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Sudanese Al-Hilal with a narrow 1-0 victory in Cairo, followed by another win of 1-0 in the return match in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott.
