The Spanish newspaper 'Sport' has revealed a new development concerning the future of Ansu Fati, the Barcelona player whose contract extends until the summer of 2027.

The paper explained that the Catalan club plans to part ways with Fati by the end of the current season, despite his recent participation in some matches, which was a reward from coach Hans Flick for his commitment and discipline in training. He may participate in league matches if the team secures the title early.

The report added that Barcelona might have to allow the player to leave for free next summer to relieve the financial burden on the club, given its economic crisis.

The newspaper concluded that renewing Fati's contract is extremely complicated, especially with the emergence of several players in the attacking position who are performing well, making his chances of staying with the team difficult.
