Journalist Isaac Foto has disclosed the anticipated suspension duration for Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe following his red card against Alaves in the 31st round of La Liga.

Mbappe was sent off after a challenge on Alaves player Antonio Blanco, with the referee having consulted video technology prior to issuing the French star a red card.

Isaac Foto mentioned on his X platform account that Mbappe is expected to be suspended for only one match, as his challenge on Blanco occurred during competition for the ball.

The match referee stated in his report: "In the 38th minute, Kylian Mbappe, number (9), was sent off after stepping on the opponent's leg during competition for the ball, using excessive force."

If Mbappe is indeed suspended for one match, he will miss the clash against Bilbao on Sunday in the 32nd round of La Liga.
