The media personality Ahmed Shobair revealed the position of Marcel Koller, the Al Ahly coach, regarding leaving the team after the draw against Pyramids yesterday, Saturday.

Shobair said during his program "With Shobair" on "On Sport FM": "Marcel Koller made several mistakes in the match against Pyramids, starting with the substitution of Yahya Attiat Allah, which could be said to be due to injury, but this injury is a result of excessive physical loads. This is the same reason that caused many players to suffer from muscle injuries recently.

He added: "There is no shape or identity for Al Ahly on the field, and the substitutions were completely incomprehensible. For example, after Mohannad Lashin was sent off from Pyramids and the game opened up, you exclude Ashraf Ben Sharqi, who can make a difference, and bring in Mohamed Abdullah in such a tough match? There are players who should not be substituted at such a time.

Shobair continued: "I asked some officials within Al Ahly about Koller’s fate, and the answer was clear that the coach will continue 100% at least until the matches against Sundowns in the semi-finals of the African Champions League."
