Zamalek Reveals the Details of Negotiations for Renewal with Zizo
Maher Gharib, the media director of Zamalek Club, confirmed that player Ahmed Sayed Zizo had previously expressed his willingness to renew his contract with the White Castle, noting that the club's management dealt with him with complete professionalism until the last moment.
Some media reports had previously revealed that Zizo signed with Egyptian Al-Ahly for four years starting from the next season, which sparked widespread controversy among the fans of both clubs.
Gharib stated: "Zizo grew up in Zamalek, and his place is secured within the team, and he is still among the group of players, and the door is open for him to attend training at any time."
He added: "On the eve of the match against Stellenbosch, after being excluded from training, Zizo spoke with Zamalek officials and expressed his readiness to sign with the club, which proves his connection to the club and his value to it."
Gharib clarified that Zizo's father is currently leading the negotiations, pointing out that the Zamalek management respects that, but he also confirmed that things have become more complicated.
He said: "The negotiations three days ago were different, but now the situation has changed completely, especially after the player signed penalty clauses and commercial contracts with his new club, which makes it difficult for Zamalek to enter into new negotiations."
