Koller's Statements After the Draw Against Pyramids
Marcel Koller, the coach of Al Ahly, spoke about his team's draw against Pyramids with a score of 1-1 in today's match on Saturday, which took place as part of the second round of the decisive phase of the Premier League.
Koller said in the press conference after the match: "We did not play well in the first half, and we talked between the halves. The performance improved in the second half to some extent, and our attacking attempts changed with the red card for Pyramids, but we conceded a goal. With the spirit of champions, we managed to score the equalizer."
He added: "The substitution of Bencherki was not for technical reasons; I wanted a fast player on the wing."
He continued: "The league is still ongoing, and Pyramids could draw or lose as they have a strong team."
He emphasized: "Pyramids was strong in today's match, and we should have been cautious not to concede a goal, but that did not happen, and the players' enthusiasm should have lasted for the full 90 minutes."
He concluded: "I do not know the extent of the injuries yet."
