Jorge Jesus: We Lost Two Points but Haven't Lost Hope
Jorge Jesus, the coach of Saudi Al-Hilal, confirmed that his team's chances of competing for the league title are still alive.
The match between Al-Hilal and Al-Ettifaq, held today as part of the 27th round of the Saudi Professional League, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Jesus said in the press conference after the match: "It was a strong and difficult match. In the first half, we were less offensive and organized, but we improved in the second half and scored early. We lost two points, but we haven't lost hope."
He explained: "I have a lot of experience in this field, and a 7-point gap is not significant. We have positive factors such as the return of Mitrovic and his gradual improvement in performance."
In response to a question about the team's priorities between the league and the elite Asian Champions League, Jesus replied: "Our chances in the league are still alive, and the elite is also an important goal. We cannot prioritize one goal over another."
Regarding the news about him potentially coaching the Brazil national team, he said: "I have no answer regarding matters I am unaware of. I spoke with the club president about this topic, and I do not have information that I can disclose."
He added: "I am the coach of Al-Hilal and I know what I am doing. I respect all opinions... and I will not say anything about the recurring topic of Brazil."
