El-Wensh Comments on Renewing His Contract with Zamalek

Mouhamed El-Wensh, the Zamalek defender, commented on renewing his contract with the club.

El-Wensh signed a contract extension with Zamalek yesterday, Thursday, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

He said on Facebook: "I announce my continuation with Zamalek, my home and the one who has been instrumental in my life after God, for the next three seasons. This is the least I can do to repay the kindness I have received from Zamalek and its great fans."

He added: "The temptations were significant and numerous, but history should not be easily disregarded, especially since I am one of the most decorated defenders in Zamalek's history. I am, of course, honored to be one of the team leaders."

He continued: "I declare it clearly and frankly, I am fundamentally a fan of Zamalek. Throughout my journey with the team, I have never compromised, and I cannot do so now or in the future because I am essentially a supporter of the club and consider myself one of its sons."

He further stated: "I thank the great Zamalek fans for their continuous and unconditional support for the team and all the players, and I urge them to continue this effort because they are the best ever. I also extend my thanks to the board of directors and the planning committee for their support and desire to renew my contract with our great club."

He concluded: "We are continuing on our journey towards winning titles and bringing joy to millions of the royal fans around the world. I urge them to stand by Zamalek during this difficult period, as we have always relied on you... because we are stronger with you and draw our strength from you."
