Bayern Munich is aiming to bolster its squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, having shown significant interest in signing Florian Wirtz, the Bayer Leverkusen and Germany national team player.

According to a report from German network "Sky", Bayern Munich's management has initiated discussions with the player's family, who have expressed a willingness to accept the Bavarian club's offer.

This is particularly true given their desire to remain in the German league and not move abroad, despite an offer from English club Manchester City.

On the other hand, Bayer Leverkusen's management is currently opposed to the idea of Wirtz's departure, as they aim to retain him until at least the summer of 2026. The player has a contract with his current club until the summer of 2027, and his market value is estimated at €140 million.

During the current season, Wirtz has participated in 39 matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists.
