Former Zamalek Star: Zizo Will Not Start at Al Ahly

Hesham Yaken, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that Ahmed Sayed Zizo will sit on the bench at Al Ahly because the team has many stars.

Yaken said during the "Zamalekawi" program on Zamalek TV: "Zizo is one of the best players in Egypt, but don't forget that you are competing among the substitutes with the Egyptian national team, and also remember that the fans play a significant role in the status you have reached now."

He added: "Zizo will be a substitute at Al Ahly because there are many stars, and he will regret the love of the fans that he left behind at Zamalek."

He continued: "El-Wensh has excelled in the recent period and has become one of the distinguished players, but injuries to the cruciate ligament have negatively affected him."

He added: "The defender is always a reaction to the attackers on the field, which is why I previously advised him not to rush back to the pitch."

Yaken concluded: "My message to El-Wensh is that the lifespan of a defender in the field is shorter than that of an attacker, so do not take risks for the sake of a new experience that could lead you to retire after two seasons at most. Staying at your club will prolong your career on the field."
