Koeman: Barcelona is not the favorite to win the Champions League

Ronald Koeman, the head coach of the Dutch national team, commented on the performance of his former team Barcelona and their chances of winning the UEFA Champions League title this season.

He said: "I do not see Barcelona as the favorite, there are other teams playing at a similar level like Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, which we saw against Real Madrid, all capable of succeeding."

He continued: "I believe that Barcelona is one of these contender teams but not the biggest favorite, and I must point out that their style is enjoyable."

He added: "However, we must acknowledge that Borussia Dortmund, who is in eighth place in the Bundesliga, threatened Barcelona and had dangerous chances; I think the 4-0 victory is somewhat misleading."

He further stated: "Barcelona's development is evident, and this is reflected in the performance of players who have several years of experience like De Jong, Pedri, and Firmin, in addition to Gavi, whom I consider the heart of the team."

He concluded: "We must focus on the work of coach Flick; I believe he is leading the team in the best way, and the positive atmosphere is noticeable, and people are happy with the way they play, so I see Barcelona very positively and they have real chances to win important titles."
