French club Paris Saint-Germain secured a valuable victory against their English rival Aston Villa with a score of 3-1 in the match held at the Parc des Princes as part of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

Aston Villa opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Morgan Rogers, following a brilliant pass from his teammate Youri Tielemans. The players of Paris Saint-Germain managed to equalize just four minutes later with a goal from Désiré Doué in the 39th minute after a stunning shot from the edge of the penalty area.

In the 49th minute, Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored the second goal for Paris Saint-Germain with a powerful shot after skillfully maneuvering past the English club's defense.

Nuno Mendes succeeded in scoring the third goal for the French club in the 90+2 minute, following a splendid pass from Ousmane Dembélé.

With this valuable victory, Paris Saint-Germain places one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League, awaiting the second leg to finalize their qualification.

It is worth noting that the second leg between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa will take place next Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Villa Park, at 9 PM Cairo time.
