Barcelona Takes a Step Towards the Champions League Semifinals with a Crushing Victory Over Dortmund

Barcelona has taken a step towards the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the first leg of the quarterfinals, in a match held on Wednesday evening at the Montjuïc Stadium.

Barcelona took the lead through Raphinha in the 27th minute, after a cross that was headed by Iñigo and then redirected by Koubarsi into the net, before Raphinha completed it into the goal.

In the 48th minute, Robert Lewandowski scored the second goal after a cross from Lamine Yamal, which Raphinha headed, and then the Polish striker followed it up with another header into the net.

In the 65th minute, Robert Lewandowski scored a second goal following a counter-attack that concluded with a cross from Firmin, which Lewandowski converted with a brilliant shot into the net.

Lamine Yamal scored the fourth goal for Barcelona in the 44th minute, after a wonderful pass from Raphinha before entering the penalty area and placing the ball into the net with a superb touch.

The second leg will be held next Tuesday at the Signal Iduna Park.
