Sundowns Coach Comments on Clash with Al Ahly in Champions League
Miguel Cardozo, the coach of South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, commented on his clash with Egyptian Al Ahly in the semifinals of the African Champions League.
Mamelodi Sundowns successfully qualified for the semifinals of the African Champions League after overcoming Tunisian Esperance, while Al Ahly qualified after defeating Sudan's Al Hilal.
Cardozo said via beIN Sports: "This is not the first clash between the two teams; Al Ahly has defeated Sundowns before, and Sundowns has also defeated Al Ahly, so I believe it will be an even match between the two sides."
He added: "Al Ahly is a big team, and its history in Africa speaks for itself. I faced them last season when I was coaching Esperance, and the match was fair between both sides, and the upcoming one will be the same."
He concluded: "We will see what happens in the match; we still have enough time for this strong encounter."
