Shoubir Defends Koller
Media personality Ahmed Shoubir defended Marcel Koller, the coach of Al Ahly, after a campaign of attacks against him despite qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
Al Ahly successfully qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League after defeating Al Hilal with a goal in each match, both home and away.
Shoubir stated in radio comments on the "On Sport FM" program: "I am surprised by the very strange and bizarre attack on Koller despite the victory."
He added: "Qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Champions League with this victory is a good thing; qualifying without my net being shaken either home or away and winning both matches is very good."
Shoubir concluded: "The truth is, I don't understand what this unjustified campaign of attacks is about!"
