Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that Amr Solia, the Al-Ahly star, has informed his club's management of his desire to renew his contract for one more season before announcing his retirement.
Ahmed Hassan stated on Facebook: "Amr Solia informs Al-Ahly officials of his desire to renew his contract for one season to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, and then announce his retirement afterwards."
Meanwhile, Al-Ahly is set to face Sudan's Al-Hilal today in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.
The match will take place at 9 PM Cairo time and 10 PM Mecca time.
