Baciro: Attempts to Distract Zamalek Will Not Succeed
Tuesday 08-04-2025
The Portuguese coach José Baciro, of Zamalek Club, appeared to talk about the match against South Africa's Stellenbosch tomorrow, Wednesday, in the second leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals, and stated that there are attempts to distract the team's focus.

José Baciro said in the press conference: "There are those who want to distract Zamalek before tomorrow's match, but the atmosphere is good within the team, and all the players are happy, and these attempts will not succeed."

He added: "I am trying to improve the negative aspects I find in training, whether defensively or offensively. We had a good defensive performance in the first leg, but we did not meet the required level offensively. We are evaluating the team's performance and explaining the negatives to the players to improve performance and maintain team organization."

Baciro continued: "Ahmed Mostafa Zizo is one of the best players in Egypt, and I am very happy with him and what he offers with Zamalek."

He concluded his remarks by saying: "The South African team Stellenbosch excels in counter-attacks and set pieces; they are an organized and good team."
