Zizo Reveals Details of His Contract Extension Failure with Zamalek

Ahmed Sayed Zizo, a player for Zamalek Club, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of his contract extension failure with the White Castle over the past months.

According to what journalist Hani Hathout published about his phone call with Ahmed Sayed Zizo regarding the reasons for the player's failure to extend his contract with Zamalek so far, amid increasing rumors about his proximity to a free transfer to Al Ahly in the upcoming summer.

Zizo told journalist Hani Hathout, "I am extremely frustrated and can't believe the treatment I am receiving from Zamalek officials. My father is a respectable person who was behind the extension of my contract twice with the club before, and he didn't receive a single pound. The problem lies in the brokerage that happens in other deals, and everything gets leaked after every meeting with the management."

Zizo added in his talk: "The problem is not about money because, simply, I extended my contract with Zamalek despite the change of the board of directors 7 times, and I did not ask for 60 million per season as Hisham Nasr stated. However, what happened is that my father informed him about the club's ability to compensate me financially after rejecting an offer from the Saudi club Neom, and he did not respond to him convincingly."

The journalist continued on Zizo's behalf: "The player informed me that the workers said in the past period that the Zamalek management had obtained a loan of 200 million to extend his contract, and Ahmed Hossam Mido, a member of the club's planning committee, was attacking him in the stands, saying, 'Is this the one who wants all these millions?'"

The Zamalek player continued: "I have been asking the Zamalek management to extend my contract for 7 months, and I was advising Hussein Labib, the club president, on how to deal with my father, and I told Shikabala, 'Please, deal with the management to extend my contract.'"

Zizo concluded his conversation with journalist Hani by saying: "I swear, the offer from Zamalek is the least of the offers presented to me, whether inside Egypt or outside."
