Urgent Request from Al-Ittihad to the Saudi Refereeing Committee Before the Al-Fateh Match
The management of Al-Ittihad has submitted a request for the appointment of a foreign refereeing crew for its upcoming match against Al-Fateh on April 17 in the Roshn League.
The request also included the presence of a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to ensure the accuracy of decisions, according to the Saudi newspaper 'Al-Riyadhiah'.
Al-Ittihad previously imposed a foreign crew for the match against Al-Urouba, a move that raised questions about its impact on match results.
The Saudi Football Federation requires that the request be submitted at least 14 days in advance, with the cost of a four-member crew being 175,000 Riyals, and a five-member crew being 219,000 Riyals.
If two clubs submit a request for foreign refereeing, only the first one will be approved, with the fees returned to the second club if the request cannot be fulfilled.
