Saudi Clubs Demand to Advance the Start of the New League in a Surprising Move

Saudi Professional League clubs, such as Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Shabab, and Al-Orouba, are seeking to advance the start date of the upcoming season. These clubs are discussing moving the league's start to between August 11 and 13 instead of the scheduled date of September 12.

This demand comes as part of the clubs' desire to alleviate the pressure on the match schedule. It also aims to provide sufficient time for organizing matches and improving the level of competition. These adjustments will help in better managing the calendar.

According to the current calendar, the Saudi league starts on September 12. As for the King's Cup matches, they will take place over 5 rounds starting from August 27 to 30. This period is expected to witness congestion in the match schedule.

Additionally, the clubs have proposed moving the Saudi Super Cup to China. The tournament will be held in a two-legged format between August 19 and 23, with the biggest challenge being to successfully organize it within this tight timeframe.
