Manchester City Seeks to Exploit Olmo's Crisis at Barcelona

The English club Manchester City is planning to enter into serious negotiations with Spanish star Dani Olmo, a player for Barcelona, to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window, taking advantage of the tension the player has recently experienced.

According to the newspaper "Sport", Olmo went through a difficult period last January after La Liga refused to register him in Barcelona's squad due to an issue related to financial fair play regulations, which cast significant doubt on his future with the team.

The newspaper pointed out that Manchester City was the first club to contact Olmo during his crisis, offering him the chance to join the team until the end of the season to avoid being left without participation, especially since coach Pep Guardiola sees the player as an ideal option.

Although Barcelona later succeeded in obtaining a temporary decision from the Higher Sports Council in Spain allowing Olmo's registration, his contractual situation is still under the watch of major European clubs, led by Manchester City.

Olmo has participated in 28 matches this season with Barcelona across various competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists, which confirms his significant technical value in coach Hans Flick's lineup.
