Sunday 06-04-2025
Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, forward for Manchester City, expressed his great happiness at being part of the English team, confirming his readiness to give his best during the upcoming period, especially with the reliance on him following the injury of star Erling Haaland.

In statements to the club's official website, Marmoush said: "I feel comfortable playing in various attacking positions; with the Egyptian national team, I play as a winger, and with Manchester City, I sometimes switch to a striker or even an attacking midfielder depending on the coach's needs. I feel dangerous in every position I play in."

He added: "Playing for Manchester City has been a dream since I was young, and I have worked hard every day to reach this moment. Now I am here, and I aim to showcase my skills and help the team."

Marmoush spoke about the pressures on him in the absence of the team's top scorer, Erling Haaland, saying: "Certainly, as a forward, there is always pressure to score goals; that is my mission in the team, and that is why I am here."

He continued: "But the pressure is lighter when you play among high-quality players like those at Manchester City. Pep Guardiola helps me a lot, and my teammates put in great effort to support me on the pitch."

Regarding the difference between the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga, Marmoush explained: "I think the biggest difference is the intensity of the matches and the quality of the players. The Premier League is an extremely strong competition, which is why it is considered the best in the world. I am very happy to be here and take on this challenge."

On Manchester City's ambitions for the remainder of the season, the Egyptian star said: "We aim to qualify for the Champions League, and we also hope to win the FA Cup. We are a big team with a winning mentality, and I will do my utmost to help the team."

He concluded his remarks by saying: "Whether I score or my teammates do, the most important thing is the team's victory and earning the three points. We always play as a team and work together to achieve victories."
