Araujo: The Draw Tastes Bitter, We Need the Three Points

Ronald Araujo, the defender of Barcelona, appeared in press statements after the 1-1 draw against Betis in the 30th round of the Spanish league, in a match held at the Montjuïc stadium.

The defender said in his remarks: "Honestly, the result has a bitter taste; we wanted the three points, but we ended up with just one. We continue to collect points, and that is the most important thing. We must keep going; now the gap is four points from the second place."

He added: "We look at this competition match by match and do not care about our rivals. Our goal today was to win. If we couldn't do that, it's better not to lose."

He explained: "In the end, these matters are decided by small details. In my opinion, it was a very clear corner kick, and the referee did not give enough time, despite the substitutions and the many stoppages in play. In any case, we always have to fight despite all circumstances."

He concluded: "Goals can always be avoided, especially from set pieces that we work on a lot in training. It was a simple mistake, but we must continue."
