Officially.. Bayern Munich Announces the Departure of Thomas Müller

The German club Bayern Munich announced in an official statement this Saturday morning the departure of veteran striker Thomas Müller at the end of the current season.

The club stated: "Bayern Munich and Thomas Müller, who is 35 years old, have mutually decided to end his unique career that spanned 25 years and 33 titles this summer."

The German club confirmed that Müller will be with the team at the FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13.

Müller said: "Clearly, this day is not like any other day for me. My career as a player at Bayern Munich, which lasted 25 years, will come to an end this summer."

He added: "It has been a wonderful journey, full of unique experiences, great encounters, and unforgettable victories. I feel immense gratitude and happiness for being able to build this career with my beloved club."

He concluded: "This special relationship with the club and our wonderful fans will always remain. What I want as a conclusion is clear: titles that we celebrate together, and moments that will stay in our memories for a long time. We will do our utmost in the coming weeks to bring the league title back to Munich and reach the Champions League final in Munich, to do it together."
